Penang state executive council members and Pakatan Harapan assemblypersons in the state today publicly declared their assets.
The declaration, announced by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, is for the period ending Jan 31, 2018.
"Penang is the first state to (have its exco members) publicly declare their assets. This declaration is the third one.
"The first declaration in 2011 involved all state exco members while in 2013, the state government decided assemblypersons should also declare their assets.
"All the information has been uploaded onto the state government's official website for public knowledge," he said in a statement today.
Joining in the asset declaration exercise this time were also two MPs in Penang, namely Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim Chee Keong and Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin.
Lim, in his asset declaration, revealed he has two shophouses in Malacca which were purchased at RM435,000 and RM530,000 respectively.
He has one other property which is a bungalow along Jalan Pinhorn Penang purchased at RM2.8 million with an RM2.1 million loan.
Lim's declaration also includes shares and unit trusts owned by Lim on top of RM553,592 in fixed deposit.
