Graphic designer Fahmi Reza has successfully crowdfunded the RM30,000 he was fined for publishing a caricature depicting Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as a clown.

As of 2pm today and less than 24 hours after setting up a crowdfunding page for the fine, he registered RM22,095 from items sold through the page.

This, on top of the RM10,629 in donations banked into his account, brought his total funds to RM32,724.

“I did not expect to achieve my target so soon.

“I’m speechless, I don’t know what to say except terima kasih (thank you),” Fahmi addressed his supporters on his Facebook page...
