POLL | Aside from the top 10 headline grabbers of 2017 and newsmaker of the year, Malaysiakini has introduced a new category this year – the most popular commenter.
There are 15 contenders, shortlisted by the online news portal, vying for the top three prizes - a one-year free Malaysiakini subscription worth RM200 each.
A total of 1,614 participated in the seven-day poll. They voted by indicating their preference for each of the nominees – 0 being the lowest and 10 the highest.
And the three commenters who walk away with a one-year free Malaysiakini subscription are – David Dass, who bagged 2,639 points, followed by Kim Quek (2,454 points) and Vijay47 (2,328 points).

Malaysiakini is also taking the occasion to announce the top 25 most prolific commenters and the top 10 most commented news of 2017.
