The Dutch Embassy in Malaysia has asked Interpol to investigate the death of Dutch model Ivana Esther Robert Smit, who fell to her death at a condominium in Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur, last Thursday.
The embassy's request comes following a request by the model's family, who suspect foul play behind the 19-year-old's death.
Dutch news outlets reported Ivana's father Marcel Smit as saying that the family believes his daughter was pushed and claimed there were bruise marks on her neck that shows someone had grabbed her there.
"The (Malaysian) police are doing nothing with this information and only want to close the case quickly.
"We want justice," Smit was quoted as saying.
Ivana was found naked on the balcony of a sixth-floor unit of the condominium, having fallen from the 20th floor, at about 3pm last Thursday.
She had earlier gone out drinking with an American man and his Kazakh wife, who owned the unit on the 20th floor, but Malaysian police have ruled out foul play, classifying the case as sudden death...
