The Malay youth of today must reflect upon themselves and remember Umno's contributions to them, which has made them the successes they are today, said party secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
This is because, despite providing them with the opportunity to pursue the best tertiary education, many youths are unhappy with the ruling Malay party, he said.
"Because of Umno policies, you get to enter university. If you don't get into one in Malaysia, we will send you overseas. (But) when you come back to Malaysia, you try to be clever and get mad at Umno.
"What did Umno do wrong? When you go back, reflect, who am I, who are my parents, how did I become who I am. Reflect on it, because we have forgotten that even though we are Muslims, we are not grateful for what we have," Tengku Adnan told a group of students in Kuala Lumpur today...
