Why wasn't 'Datuk Seri' implicated in Rela assault clad in lockup attire, asks DAP

DAP has questioned why a "Datuk Seri" businessperson was not clad in a lock-up uniform when he was brought to court for further remand.

Liow Soon Hee, 29, is facing several charges including assaulting three People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) members and drug-related cases. He was previously remanded for four days for facilitating the investigation.

Kampung Tunku assemblyperson Lau Weng San demanded inspector-general of police Mohammad Fuzi Harun explain such “preferential treatment”.

“Why should we give special treatment to Liow by allowing him to use his money game company's uniform? Isn't that giving him publicity? He shouldn't have it,” he told reporters at the Selangor DAP headquarters this morning...
