Some 30 prospective Pakatan Harapan election candidates, including some incumbents, are expected to declare their assets this Sunday.
They are among individuals assisted by Invoke Malaysia, a voter mobilisation and research group founded by PKR vice-president Mohd Rafizi Ramli.
"The prospective candidates will also sign a pledge to work for the rakyat, including paying into an RM20 million trust fund for the public if they were to defect (after being elected).
"I invite all Malaysians who want to see progressive change in Malaysia after the 14th general election. Come and celebrate a big milestone in our journey to institute accountability in the highest public offices of the land," Rafizi said in a statement today.
The event will take place at Summit USJ this evening as part of a crowdfunding event for Invoke.
Invoke hopes to raise another RM5 million from the public that would be used to help 53 candidates during the coming general election...
