Gerakan Youth legal bureau chief Chai Ko Thing said Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali should lobby for the abolition of the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas) tolls instead of belittling BN's abolition of four tolls.
"Will the Selangor state government, as one of the shareholders abolish it?” he said in a statement today.
Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), owned by the Selangor government, owns 30 percent of Kesas. The remaining 70 percent stake is controlled by Gamuda Berhad.
The four tolls that Putrajaya announced will be abolished effective next year are Batu Tiga, Sungai Rasau and Bukit Kayu Hitam owned by Projek Lebuhraya Utara Selatan Berhad (Plus) and the Eastern Dispersal Link owned by Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB)...
