Pertubuhan Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah Malaysia (Aswaja) president Zamihan Mat Zin, who was arrested yesterday, is being remanded for two days over his alleged racist lecture at a mosque in Shah Alam on Sunday.
Bukit Aman CID director Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd, when contacted by Bernama, said Zamihan was being remanded from today.
Yesterday, inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said Zamihan was being investigated under Section 4 of the Sedition Act 1948 for incitement.
Zamihan was arrested at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters after giving his statement at 3.50pm yesterday.
