Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has approved Padang Timur to be used for anti-Kleptocracy rally despite objection from the police.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, Petaling Jaya mayor Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said the city council does not need police approval before approving the use of field at Petaling Jaya for the Pakatan Harapan rally.
There is no need for MBPJ to revise its decision on renting out the venue to Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) after the police openly objected it yesterday, according to him.
This is quite different with MBPJ refusing a request to hold the Oktoberfest event at a mall in PJ after objection from the police.
