Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V today attended the 247th meeting of the Conference of Rulers held at the Istana Negara, in Kuala Lumpur.

The two-day meeting beginning today was chaired by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

The meeting was attended by all the Malay Rulers, except for the Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.

Johor was represented by the Tengku Temenggong of Johor, Tunku Idris Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim, Kelantan was represented by the Regent of Kelantan, Tengku Dr Muhammad Fa-iz Petra while Pahang was represented by the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

On the first day of the meeting beginning at 10.30am, the Malay Rulers were accompanied by their respective menteris besar, while the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang, Sarawak, Sabah and Malacca were accompanied by their respective chief ministers.
