One of the coaches on the national swimming team has been arrested for allegedly committing sexual assault on one of the team members.
According to Sun Daily, the suspect is a 35-year-old man from China. He was said to be working with the National Sports Council.
The man, according to China Press, is reportedly married with a family in China.
The report said that he has been working in Malaysia for five years. He was alleged to have committed the act last month.
According to Star Online, the alleged victim did not participate in the recent SEA Games that was held in Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Amar Singh confirmed the arrest was made, but declined to provide further details.
