Report: Klang council greenlights German ‘F&B’ festival

The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) has given the green light for the “Centro Mall German F&B Festival” to proceed but has banned any mention of the word “Oktoberfest”.

The decision was made based on the fact that the event would be a private one, and that it would be held at a private venue, Sin Chew Daily reported today.

The approval, issued today by chief councillor Mohamad Yasid Bidin at the council's monthly meeting, included some caveats, including ensuring Muslims do not enter the festival venue and that the word “Oktoberfest” is not used...
