KINI ROUNDUP | Here are the key headlines you may have missed yesterday, in brief.
PM coy on GE14 date

The prime minister hoped that US President Donald Trump would see Malaysia as a reliable partner when the two leaders meet at the White House on Sept 12.

Jasa chief jumps the gun?
The Special Affairs Department (Jasa) head Mohd Puad Zakarshi insinuated that Nor Mohamed Yakcop was trying to avoid implicating former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former finance minister Anwar Ibrahim at the ongoing Forex Royal Commission of Inquiry.
Meanwhile, former Federal Court judge Gopal Sri Ram said Puad's remarks amounted to "threatening" a witness which is punishable under Section 12 (2) of the Commissions of Enquiry Act 1950.
With the revelations so far by the witnesses called by the RCI, Bersatu strategist Rais Husin believed that the royal commission would likely benefit Mahathir instead of Najib.
Mahathir told CNN Indonesia that some privatisation projects had to be left to fail to avoid allegations of cronyism.
