Amanah Youth has called for a nationwide protest next week against the rise in fuel prices, following price hikes in eight out of the last 10 weeks.
Vice-chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin said the series of fuel price hikes further burdened Malaysians, who are already facing a squeeze due to the goods and services tax (GST).
“This has affected the peoples’ disposable income.
“Hence we should fight by protesting the hike in petrol prices, which will also result in a domino effect of prices of other essential goods to increase,” he said in a statement...
