Former inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar has been appointed Prasarana Malaysia Bhd chairperson.
Khalid retires as top cop and turns 60 years of age today.
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, in a statement today, said Khalid would replace previous Prasarana chairperson Ismail Adam, who ended his term on Aug 31.
"Khalid will continue the mission and vision of Prasarana to build and offer world-class public transport services as well as increase the use of public transport.
"Besides that, Khalid has also been appointed as the special envoy to enhance relations with the international community in combating terrorism, extremism and human trafficking," said Najib...
