Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) will lead Pakatan Harapan in four states, including key battlegrounds such as Johor, Perak and Kedah.

According to the list of Harapan state chairpersons distributed today, Bersatu chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin has been appointed Johor Harapan leader.

The opposition managed to make inroads in Johor during the last general election and is still touted by opposition leaders as an important front.

Bersatu deputy chairperson Mukhriz Mahathir will lead Harapan in Kedah, a state where he once served as a short-lived menteri besar before being ousted by those close to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Perak Bersatu leader Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Perlis Bersatu leader Ameir Hassan will be leading Harapan in their respective states...
