The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) has hit back at comments made by Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed that its report on the poor conditions at Ayer Molek police lockup was “outdated”.
Nur Jazlan had said that the lockup, which is located in his parliamentary constituency of Pulai in Johor, closed down last July and prisoners had been moved to a new jail building.
