PAS has called for a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) to look into the 1985 Memali tragedy.
Its deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the RCI would set the record straight on what actually happened.
"As there have been various statements that contradict with facts, PAS calls for a fair and transparent investigation to uncover the Memali tragedy," Tuan Ibrahim said in a statement today.
He added that the RCI would also help clear the names of the innocent in the November 1985 tragedy.
