The decision by the Penang High Court to overturn the remand order against the state executive councillor Phee Boon Poh has jeopardised the ongoing investigation, said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
This graft-buster has given this as one of the grounds in its plan to appeal against the court's ruling.
"MACC looks at the matter seriously because the decision has jeopardised the investigation process carried out by the investigation team which was aggressively completing the investigation paper against Phee and two other suspects," said MACC in a statement today.
