Permatang Pauh folks who attended the Pakatan Harapan ceramah at their vicinity last night found PAS' recent admission that it was satisfied with 1MDB's debt settlement plan "laughable".

PAS Pokok Sena MP Mahfuz Omar had the crowd in stitches when he raised the issue of his party being “satisfied” with 1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy’s briefing to PAS on the debt-riddled firm last week.

Amid the giggles and jeers, Mahfuz asked, “How can we be satisfied, when we couldn’t even understand the issue of 1MDB before this?

“How could we be suddenly satisfied with 1MDB right after Arul’s session with PAS?”asked the veteran PAS leader from Kedah, who has remained friendly with Harapan despite his party's non-cooperation with the new coalition.

“I am sorry, it involves all our money, so how can we be satisfied with 1MDB's rationalisation plan?” he asked, to the audience's calls of “dedak”...
