Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today claimed to know the contents of the reports on 1MDB by three authorities, namely Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the auditor-general.
As such, he had challenged attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali to swear on the Quran, saying he knew that the public prosecutor was lying when he cleared Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak with on the RM2.6 billion found in Najib's private bank account.
"I know the contents of the BNM report as former attorney-general Gani Patail referred the report to the then deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin. Muhyiddin, who is now president of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), often mentioned that the contents of the reports were referred to him," Mahathir said.
"The Bersatu leadership, which includes me, has discussed the reports. That's why I know about it," he said in his blog posting today...
