A lack of response from the government over the motion tabled in the UK Parliament highlighting the 1MDB issue is putting the country in bad light, said an opposition MP.

Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar said Labour Party MP's Ann Clwyd early day motion (EDM) in the House of Commons on Tuesday deserved a prompt response from Prime Minister Najib Razak's administration.

“I urge the government to immediately give a response on the motion […] related to alleged abuse of funds from 1MDB and kleptocracy in Malaysia.
