Umno Sungai Besar chief Jamal Md Yunos today said he has the right to nominate himself to compete for the Umno Youth chief's position and replace Khairy Jamaluddin.

"Everyone have their own strengths, every leader has his own strength, and I have never belittled Khairy.

"I respect him (Khairy) as a leader of youths, and as the Umno Youth chief. He has his own achievements, but anyone can offer himself (for the position). I too, have the right to nominate myself for the Umno Youth chief's position," said the red shirts leader after a visit to the Sungai Buloh MRT station today.

Jamal said this in reply to a question whether he can be a better Umno Youth chief than Khairy...
