PKR’s Kelana Jaya MP Wong Chen has gone public with the audit report on his office along with supporting documents after his community spending was frozen by the Selangor government.

He said that he had already written to the state government that he would again go public with this matter if they did not reply to his concerns over the freezing of his accounts by June 30.

“My office has had a really tough five months of hardship. We are involved in a dispute with the Selangor state government regarding the audit issue.

“Some people asked, why am I washing dirty linen in public? I run a clean office... All the papers we write on public policies talk about accountability and transparency.

“I would like to walk the talk, waive my privacy of this matter... It is my duty to resolve this publicly, transparently and as well as possible,” he said in a pre-recorded video uploaded onto his Facebook today.

He then uploaded a series of posts addressing the issue, including a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs), a timeline of the audit and freezing of his community spending as well as links to scanned copies of the audit report and letters between his office and the government...
