Tuan Ibrahim: DOJ took up 1MDB probe after M'sia failed
Victor Johan: PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man seems to be playing the "good cop" in his deliverables, while his party president Abdul Hadi Awang and his minion Nasrudin Hassan are playing the "bad cops" to fool their party members and supporters.
Most Malaysians, including the rural folks, are kept abreast and engaged and aware of the truths of the corruption and abuse of power in the 1MDB affair. Is PAS the political party in a state of confusion or is it merely playing a game to confuse the rakyat?
Wise up, the GE14 is just around the corner.
Chokstone: Bravo! At least someone in PAS dares to express some truth about the humongous 1MDB scandal. He is the only hope for PAS' clear-minded supporters. On the contrary, the likes of Abdul Hadi and Nasrudin still remain as the "hardliners" in defending their scandalous MO1 master.
These dedak leaders had come out with all sorts of excuses and lies to spin in defence of the 1MDB scandal and helping their MO1 master to continue helming the nation.
Helping a plunderer to remain in power is definitely against Islamic teachings and obviously they are sacrificing PAS for the sake of MO1. These "holier-than-thou" leaders in reality are just a bunch of hypocrites.
Budak SRJK (T): Nasrudin, please listen to your acting president. He is one of just a handful of honest and sensible leaders left in your party, one who is not mabuk dedak.
KL39: Is Tuan Ibrahim engaging in some damage control? Damage is done beyond repair until or unless Abdul Hadi is no longer leading PAS. By then, maybe, we can have some hope; if not, PAS is going to be buried six feet underground.
Anonymous 2350931441161169: Tuan Ibrahim seems to be the only PAS member with the ability to tell right from wrong.
JD Lovrenciear: Tuan Ibrahim, as you rightly pointed out, everywhere we go, people are mocking, sneering, chuckling, shaking their heads. The sentiments cut across all segments of society.
The truth is, I have yet run into any citizen defending 1MDB and all related players. The only defence we hear is on social media and even that is rare.
With or without PAS, with or without opposition parties, BN has been placed in an extremely vulnerable corner. And it is no fault of the rakyat. Many netizens advised the PM to step aside, relinquish his finance portfolio and demand an inquiry at the very start of events. It is now a case of spilled milk.
Anonymous 444981488553970: PAS looks like a two-headed party. One speaks truthfully and another speaks untruths. God knows which is which. Hope they themselves know.
PAS: Probe 1MDB-linked 'wrongdoing' but keep US out of it
Clever Voter: The US government has no interest in Malaysia, period. The complaints made by DOJ are related to transactions that violated their strict anti-money laundering laws. The US government has the right to do that.
If the transactions had taken place in Russia, then maybe these issues may not have arisen.
Aries46: Nasrudin, if the US wants to play "police and thief", then what is wrong with that? When it catches the thieves, the loot will be recovered for us. What is the point of internal investigations when the revenue recovery task force, public accounts committee and auditor-general reports are sealed under Official Secrets Act and the attorney-general has cleared Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak of any wrongdoing?
How long do you think it would take the crooks to cover up their tracks before the RCI on 1MDB? Do you expect Arul Kanda and former 1MDB executives on the run to give evidence to implicate themselves?
Nasrudin, please stop your double speak. Without the US, none of us would even know of the 1MDB heist let alone the alleged RM90 million dedak.
RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: Nasrudin, please stop being a hypocrite. DOJ never interfered with our domestic affairs. It is only investigating crimes committed on US soil. The stolen money was channelled to the US to buy properties. It is trying to recover those properties bought with the stolen money, which would eventually be returned to Malaysians.
If you are indeed patriotic, you should be thankful that DOJ is helping us to get the money, which, otherwise, would be used to buy champagne or gamble in Las Vegas; both are haram in Islam.
Gerard Lourdesamy: Nasrudin, please tell us how many police reports were lodged within the country by PAS leaders including its youth wing since the 1MDB scandal erupted? The DOJ investigated and decided to file the forfeiture suits based on the evidence it obtained from various sources and foreign governments other than ours, since US laws were violated and the proceeds were used to acquire assets within the US and abroad using the US financial system.
The DOJ does not have jurisdiction to intervene in Malaysia and prosecute the alleged wrongdoers here. The media in the US is free to report the case based on the DOJ filings. So, why the baseless allegations against the US?
Instead of sleeping with Umno like a backroom mistress, PAS, which claims to defend Islam, should be taking to the streets to protest at the scale of the abuses and corruption allegedly involving Muslim leaders both within the government and in 1MDB at the expense of the country and the people, especially the Muslim majority.
Aziz Bin Kader: The leaders from PAS do not understand that the basic issue is that money laundering took place in the US, involving a Malaysian-based company. If an American company is involved in corruption here, do we Malaysians keep quiet?
Oscar Kilo: If you don't want other countries to "meddle" in our domestic affairs, then you shouldn't launder stolen 1MDB money in other countries.
