The NGO Jaringan Muslimin Pulau Pinang (JMPP) does not represent Muslims and have no right to say that Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng cannot attend breaking of fast events, said Parti Amanah Negara's Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin.
He said JMPP did not cite any Islamic reference which supports the act of blocking Lim from attending breaking fast events with Muslims.
"Clearly this is an extreme move. (JMPP chairperson) Hafiz Nordin is delusional and I have doubts over his understanding of Islam.
"Muslims should not be as stupid as JMPP," he said in a statement today.
