Rafizi: Umno, BN got RM10m SRC funds
PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli cites allegedly leaked documents published on a blog to claim Umno and BN received a total of RM10.02 million from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, which allegedly came from state-owned firm and former 1MDB subsidiary, SRC International.
However, Penang Umno denied receiving RM2 million from Najib's personal bank account, as alleged, while United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation said it is normal for BN parties to receive funds from the coalition's chairperson to organise programmes for the people.
Bersatu strategist blames PAS 5
Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) strategist Rais Husin names five PAS leaders - PAS election director Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan, PAS lawmakers Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali and Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz and PAS research director Ahmad Zuhdi Marzuki - as the culprits behind foiled talks between Bersatu and PAS.
However, PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, whom Rais described warmly, said it was Bersatu chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad who ultimately put a nail in the coffin of PAS-Bersatu cooperation.
Incidentally, Mahathir published a blog post where he said PAS' decision to forge a third force in Malaysian politics will ultimately dilute votes from the Malay community and hand victory to Umno.
