Nazri lashes out at cops
Tourism and Culture Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz launched a sarcastic broadside against the police, proposing to hold his debate with Dr Mahathir Mohamad at a police hall or at Antarctica after they blocked the event.
Nazri also denied that Najib Abdul Razak was behind the debate cancellation, stating that the prime minister had thanked him for wanting to take on Mahathir.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Abdul Rahman Dahlan said PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli should be grateful for the Aramco deal instead of playing politics.
Rafizi shot back, stating that the government shouldn't dodge his questions including whether the government made concessions at taxpayers' expense to secure the deal.
Sackings in FAM
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) sacked 20 staff as part of a restructuring exercise under the new leadership of Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
FAM also announced that the national team's name would be reverted from ‘Harimau Malaysia’ to ‘Harimau Malaya’.
Shah Alam MP Khalid Abdul Samad complained about the kid gloves charge against his attackers on Parliament grounds as they will only face up to RM100 fine.

EPF burnt by FGV investment
The Finance Ministry said the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) lost RM203 million when it disposed off its stake in Felda Global Ventures Holdings.
It was also revealed that Felda settlers owe almost RM5 billion in various debts.
The Finance Ministry also said various measures have been implemented to curb ballooning household debt.
