Organisers of the much anticipated debate between Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz and Dr Mahathir Mohamad are unable to meet the latter's demand for a new debate venue by tomorrow.

Speaking to reporters at Parliament today, Nazri said he had proposed that the debate be held at the organiser Sinar Harian's office in Shah Alam on April 7 instead.

He added that Sinar Harian was in the midst of contacting the former premier on this proposal and informing the police.

Earlier today, the police had barred Sinar Harian from hosting the debate that was slated for 3pm this Saturday at Mara Science Junior College (MRSM), Kuala Kangsar over security concerns.
