A senior opposition leader has described Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor’s proposal to include Penang, Langkawi and parts of Malacca as areas under the ministry’s jurisdiction as “colonial-like” and a threat to national security.
Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) deputy president Salahuddin Ayub in a statement said Tengku Adnan’s proposal is also seditious and very dangerous to the existing federalism spirit, which must defended and respected.
