A Datuk Seri who was recently arrested for allegedly assaulting a security guard over a parking issue has been released on police bail.
Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid told reporters that the 50-year-old man was released on bail today.
"The case will be referred to the state prosecution unit for further action," Mior said in a statement.
A video of the man, believed to be a director of the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce, assaulting a security guard who had clamped his Mercedez Benz at a condominium in Jelutong, went viral on social media earlier this
week.
