Pandan MP Mohd Rafizi Ramli has challenged Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil to contest in his constituency in the next general election.
Of all the reactions that followed his conviction under the Official Secrets Act 1972 (OSA) on Monday, Rafizi said, the one that he couldn’t stand was Shahrizat's, who is reported to have said that he deserved the ‘harshest treatment’ under the law.
“If there are reporters here, I’d like the reporters to write in the news tomorrow that: Chances are, I won’t be able to contest in Pandan after this. So, Shahrizat need not worry, the new candidate won’t be asking about cows in the coming election.”
Rafizi's mention of cows was in reference to the National Feedlot Centre (NFC) scandal.
