Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah and Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim today particpated in the Sultan of Perak Birthday Run at Dataran Pavillion, Kuala Kangsar.

Among the dignitaries who also took part were Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir and wife Saripah Zulkifli and former Perak menteri besar and former Dewan Rakyat speaker Ramli Ngah Talib.

The run held in conjunction with Sultan Nazrin's birthday which was celebrated on Nov 4 was participated by more than 5,000 people including from abroad.

Sultan Nazrin flagged off the 15-kilometre and 10km categories while the category for VIPs which involved a distance of two kilometres was flagged off by his sister Raja Yong Sofia.

The event which started at 6.20am was made all the more merrier with the attendance of Rio Paralympics gold medal winners Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi and Abdul Latif Romly and bronze medallist Siti Noor Radiah Ismail.
