Gerakan Merah leader Mohd Ali Baharom claimed his vehicle was sprayed with red paint while parked at the multi-storey car park just outside Bukit Aman.
“My car was sprayed with red paint... I was asked to present myself at Bukit Aman (police headquarters) by the police.
“(It happened) at the Bukit Aman multi-storey parking,” he said in a Facebook posting.
Mohd Ali, better known as Ali Tinju, also shared several photographs of his vandalised Toyota Camry.
Red paint was sprayed across both sides of the vehicle.
When contacted, Mohd Ali said he will be lodging a police report over the incident.
Earlier today, Mohd Ali was summoned to the Bukit Aman police headquarters to have his statement recorded.
This was after he organised a protest outside the Dang Wangi district police headquarters on Monday, demanding that organisers of the TangkapMO1 rally a day before that be arrested.
In the protest, Mohd Ali had accused the police of “sleeping”.
Police have since summoned the organisers of the TangkapMO1 rally but are also probing Mohd Ali under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace.
Mohd Ali, when met by journalists after having his statement recorded, claimed he was not accusing all police officers of “sleeping” but was merely trying to give them “encouragement” to act.
