Selangor BN need not wait for amendments to the Standing Orders to appoint an opposition leader in the state legislative assembly, said Kampung Tunku assemblyperson Lau Weng San.
"The opposition need not come up with excuses to reject this position.
"There is no need. This is a recognised position that comes with a state allowance. There even get office facilities, to ensure the opposition leader can operate," he told reporters at the legislative assembly building lobby in Shah Alam today.
