The former political secretary to second prime minister Abdul Razak Hussein, Abdullah Ahmad or better known as Dollah Kok Lanas, 79, died at a private hospital here today believed to be due to cancer.
According to Abdullah's wife, Fauziah Mohamed Darus, her husband died at 1.15pm in her presence as well as that of their children.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Addha Amir, 47; and Fuad, 42; as well as a daughter, Didi, 45.
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak expressed his condolences to the family.
"He was very close to my late father Tun Razak and my family. My condolences to his family, and may Allah the Almighty bless his soul. Al-Fatihah," the prime minister said on his Facebook page.
