PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said she is confident Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali will take action if alleged wrongdoing in his government is proven in light of the "money and women" allegation.

"The PKR leadership and I place full confidence in the Selangor administration under Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali.

"I am confident if there is solid evidence about any wrongdoing by anyone in the Selangor government, the menteri besar will take the necessary actions," she said in a statement today.

This was after PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli claimed demands for money and women were made in dealings with the Selangor government.

The claim was made in a closed Whatsapp group, but his message was subsequently leaked.

Wan Azizah said the PKR political bureau meeting had asked Rafizi to present his evidence to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and noted that the Pandan MP had agreed to do so on Monday.

"The MACC is urged to conduct its duties and responsibilities professionally and competently without any political interference," she said.

In the meantime, Wan Azizah urged people not to speculate on the matter.

She pointed out that Rafizi had clarified that his allegation did not refer to any elected representatives or civil servants in the Selangor government.
