Brewing controversies in S'gor
Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali has reportedly issued an ultimatum to PAS - make way for PKR to contest in the Sungai Besar by-election or the two Islamic party representatives must quit their state cabinet’s posts.
However, Azmin denied the claim, calling it "madness".
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has reportedly rejected PKR's terms but PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said there was no formal negotiations with PKR.
At a meeting to discuss the by-election, Abdul Hadi also reportedly said he would prefer to herd Umno's cows than DAP's pigs, prompting DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng to demand the PAS president to verify if this was true.
In a separate development, PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli, in a leaked WhatsApp message, expressed unhappiness that demands for "money and women" were being made when dealing with the Selangor government.
The claim came after a scathing letter from jailed PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim who expressed concern that some in his party was losing sight of the reform agenda.
Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad responded to the letter, which also criticised PKR leaders for working with him, stating that Anwar was entitled to his opinion.
Meanwhile, former minister Zaid Ibrahim who helped organised the Save Malaysia movement appear to be frustrated at the opposition, complaining of bickering among those seeking power.
More dirt from 1MDB probe overseas
Bloomberg reported that investigators are looking at "several hundred thousand US dollars" transferred from a 1MDB-linked lawyer to former banker Tim Leissner who helped put together two of 1MDB's bonds totalling at US$3.5 billion at astronomical charges.
The Wall Street Journal reported that investigators are also looking into Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's stepson Riza Aziz's purchase of a RM137 million property in London as part of the investigations into 1MDB.
Meanwhile, Malaysian auditor-general Ambrin Buang said his office's audit report on 1MDB, which is classified under the Official Secrets Act (OSA), formed sufficient basis for investigations.
In UK, British politicians were grilled by the media for meeting Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak who is hit by the 1MDB scandal and the alleged RM4.2 billion found in his personal bank accounts.

Sacked PAS leader Husam Musa claimed there was a plot to topple Kelantan Menteri Besar Ahmad Yaakob.
Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad also claimed that the Agong was being confined to his palace after failing to secure an audience to make his case against Najib.
