Despite being sacked from PAS, Salor assemblyperson Husam Musa today delivered his final address to some 1,000 members and observers who attended its Kubang Kerian division meeting.

The former PAS vice-president had shared a photograph on Facebook of him speaking as a 'special guest' at the meeting, instead of in his original capacity as Kubang Kerian division chief.

Parti Amanah Negara-linked news portal MalaysiaDateline reported that Husam in his speech had questioned his sacking, as announced by the party's disciplinary committee chief Sanusi Daeng Mariok yesterday.

Husam also insisted that his sacking was not done according to due process.

The former Kelantan state exco member was among senior leaders who were ousted by the conservative faction linked to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang during the last party elections.

While his former colleagues had left to form Amanah, Husam however chose to remain with PAS until his sacking and is known to be a fierce critic of the current state government under Menteri Besar Ahmad Yaakob.

Earlier, it was reported that Husam was greeted by hundreds of supporters upon his arrival at the Sultan Ismail Petra airport.

Yet to receive notice from party

MalaysiaDateline reported that the supporters had followed him back to his house and Husam had urged them to remain calm, aside from expressing hope the disciplinary committee will reconsider its decision to sack him.

“I have yet to receive notice from the party about my sacking, either in written form, via call, whatsapp or any other media,” Husam was quoted as saying last night.

Husam also said he is still in discussion with his lawyer on whether to take legal action over his sacking.

PAS news portal Harakahdaily, meanwhile, quoted Abdul Hadi as saying it was not an "unusual move" for the party to sack a member who had gone against its discipline.

“This is not something unusual or is only happening now. PAS (is) sacking a member who goes against the party’s discipline,” Hadi was quoted as telling a ceramah in Jeli last night.

The PAS disciplinary committee, which sat on April 23, unanimously found that Husam had resorted to actions that went against the party constitution.

Husam's dismissal was based on Article 82(6)(d) of the party constitution (Amended 2011).
