S'WAK POLLS The caretaker Sarawak chief minister Adenan Satem has suggested to PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar to ask him “politely” if both mother and daughter want to enter the state.
Adenan said he heard Wan Azizah was planning to come into Sarawak through Sabah to campaign for PKR candidates in the May 7 state poll.
“There is no need for her to do that. All she has to do is write to me, ask for permission to come, and I will consider it," he said at a press conference last night.
“I think she’s a very nice person, except that she belongs to the wrong party," Adenan was quoted as saying by Free Malaysia Today (FMT).
“Same goes with Nurul Izzah. Yes, she’s banned. But if she asks to come politely, and acknowledges our right, I will consider the matter,” he added.
Nurul Izzah was barred from entering the Borneo state together with a dozens of politicians.
The state government thus far allowed only DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and party supremo Lim Kit Siang.
Adenan however warned the father and son that they will be booted out if they do not “behave”.
