DAP lawmaker Gobind Singh Deo is the latest to join the long list of opposition and civil society leaders denied entry into Sarawak.
The Puchong MP had arrived at the Kuching International Airport this morning, but was informed of the travel restriction by immigration authorities.
He was then instructed to take the next flight back to Kuala Lumpur.
“Gobind Singh is the latest victim of BN's injustice after being barred into Sarawak today," read a tweet by Rocketkini, the party's official twitter account.
The barring was confirmed by DAP leader and Stampin MP Julian Tan.
Today is the latest in a series of bans, where at least at least a dozen DAP lawmakers have been barred entry into Sarawak.
Yesterday, Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P Ramasamy was banned from entering, prompting him to criticise BN and Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem.
Two Umno supporters have also been banned in the run up to the state elections.
Adenan has said the state does not allow in "religious extremists and racists."
Over 40 opposition lawmakers, activists and academicians are on the Sarawak state government's ban list.
The state exercises immigration autonomy as part of the 1963 Malaysia agreement.
However, opposition lawmakers argued that they are permitted to carry out legitimate political activities under Section 66 and 67 of the Immigration Act, and have accused BN of abusing Sarawak's immigration rights.
