The report by the Special Committee of the Negri Sembilan Council of Justice and Undang which investigated the crisis following the expulsion of the Undang Luak Johol recently will be tabled at the meeting of the council on Wednesday.
Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan said the committee headed by the state secretary, Mat Ali Hassan, would also comprise the legal adviser and those conversant with customs and religion.
“This special committee had already met and carried out an investigation... they (the special committee) will continue to monitor the issue before presenting the report in detail on Wednesday.
“We are not saying that the Council of Justice will make a decision on that day (Wednesday) because it is up to the investigation report and discussion to be held on that day as well as the approach to be adopted by the Council of Justice so that the crisis in Johol will not prolong,” he said after officially opening the 2016 Indoor Futsal Championship for the Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar’s Trophy.
He disclosed this when asked to comment on the development in the crisis on the Undang Luak Johol following the expulsion of Mohd Jan Abdul Ghani by the ‘Buapak Yang Enam’ at the Balai Undang Luak Johol after he was found to have committed 13 offences against the customs or ‘adat’.
Earlier in his speech, Mohamad urged youths above the age of 21 to register as voters as there were 75,000 Malays in the state who had reached the age of 21 but had yet to register as voters.
At the event, the menteri besar handed over a replica of a cheque worth RM10,000 contributed by the state government for the Indoor Futsal Championship for the MB Trophy participated by 83 teams.
