The verbal jousting continues between Wanita MCA vice-chairperson Ong Chong Swen and DAP lawmaker Teresa Kok over Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's purchase of a bungalow below market price.
In a statement today, Ong said: "In order to defend her master, Kok had been busy playing multiple roles, from actress, fan and now, even feng shui geomancer."
"But when public opinion began to move against her, she quickly blamed the media for allegedly having misquoted her," she added.
Ong said Kok"s passion for acting is not something new, and cited the opposition lawmaker"s Chinese New Year videos.
"Chinese New Year has just ended and the next one is still far away, acting enthusiast Kok could not wait any longer and performed the part of a feng shui geomancer, and subsequently denied it.
"But the question is, what has bad feng shui, which affects the tenant, anything to do with the owner? If such a claim is anything to go by, can all tenants then emulate Lim to claim that the house's feng shui was against them and get the owners to sell the property cheap?
"What more, since when have Lim and his wife Betty Chew who are Christians, and Kok who is a Catholic, become experts in feng shui?" she asked.
The MCA leader said Kok should not avoid and blame the media but own up to the statements she made.
Yesterday, Kok claimed that bad "feng shui" could be the reason the controversial Jalan Pinhorn bungalow was sold below market value.
She said this is because many protests were held in front of the bungalow since Lim became chief minister.
Lim, who is also DAP secretary-general, has denied the accusations of corruption with regard to the purchase of the bungalow.
The house seller, businesswoman Phang Li Khoon has also inked a statutory declaration claiming that there are no ulterior motives.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is probing the RM2.8 million purchase while the police is investigating if Phang had made a false SD.
Previously, Ong had criticised Kok for dismissing the bungalow saga as "not a big deal".
