The Manufacturers and Services Industry Association of Bumiputera Malaysia (PPIPBM) is confident an additional 30 percent of its 2,000 strong members will be export-ready following the signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) by Malaysia.
Its president Nurammar Abu Bakar said right now 40 percent of its members were export-ready and this would pave the way for companies to widen their scope abroad.
“The pact allows the 12 participating countries to widen their market scope and economic cooperation in member nations,” she told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
