Anwar Ibrahim's lawyer Sangeet Kaur Deo said her client has instructed her to file an application to strike out certain parts of Utusan Malaysia 's defence for citing the sodomy conviction.

This is over the PKR de-facto leader's suit against former Permatang Pauh Umno candidate Mazlan Ismail, Utusan and TV3.

Sangeet said she will file the striking-out application on Monday.

“We will file the application to strike out certain paragraphs of Utusan 's defence which cited Anwar's sodomy conviction,” said the lawyer.
