Mahathir is right, expect no further action from AG

YOURSAY | ‘This law man only knows the law of obedience and with it comes the natural law of survival.’

Don't use reverse psychology on me, AG tells Mahathir

Odin Tajué: Attorney-general (AG) Mohamed Apandi Ali, you a law man? That's like referring to the smell of rotting corpse as the scent of perfume.

I am more than certain that either you have mispronounced the word "low" or the Malaysiakini journalist has misheard you.

You are not a law man but a low man. You are ever ready to bend and twist to commove the foulness of that mass to overpower and suffocate whomsoever it so desires to confound and vanquish.

It is for that reason that you have been appointed by PM Najib Razak; you are ever ready to protect him from any legal action.

While we are on this subject of your sliminess, vileness, loathsomeness and repulsiveness, circumstantial evidence points to the fact that former AG Abdul Gani Patail was summarily removed from office because he was at the material time on the verge of charging Najib with massive embezzlement.

De facto law minister Nancy Shukri's excuse that Abdul Gani's removal was necessary as his health was so bad that he needed dialysis treatment thrice a week has been clearly proved to be nothing more than a barefaced lie.

The severity of your blood disorder, if you have to undergo the treatment thrice a week, would be so grievous that it cannot be remedied even in years, but he has been seen to be hale and hearty just weeks after his ignominious dismissal.

And now he is even ready to practise law, a vocation definitely not for the sickly.

The celebrated charge sheet did exist. The fact that you have denied its existence is ample proof of your sycophantic sliminess. You, Apandi, are the lowest of the low.

Hang Babeuf: Apandi is absolutely and exclusively a "law-man". No trace or hint of anything political ever crosses his mind. We know that. He has told us so.

And politics has not in any way shaped the direction of his "law-man" career. Ever. Up to the very present. No exceptions.

He just fell into his present job during a politics-free moment in a politics-free zone. All above board. Who could ever have thought otherwise?

Commentable: When Dr Mahathir Mohamad was in power, I'm pretty sure this same man would have asked Mahathir to say whatever he likes about him and still giving the old man the thumbs up.

Now, of course, it's Najib's world and even if Najib reverses a car on him, this guy would pretend he's enjoying it and still ask for more.

This law man only knows the law of obedience and with it comes the natural law of survival.

But then many Malaysians are not surprised though. It's because every Umno man with ambition has not only mastered the skill but perfected it as well. Yes, this law man has learned well.

Anon1: Forget about investigations here or what the AG would do. The AG says he will decide according to the law and we have seen examples of that before.

Let's hope the international agencies in the United States, Switzerland, France and Hong Kong conclude and reveal their investigations on 1MDB.

When that happens, we'll have our local lawmen crying that the laws used overseas or in the Commonwealth are not similar to the unique and ultra-flexible laws of Umno (depending on who's being probed).

Goldee: "You ask him, how did he come to that opinion?" Apandi retorted when quizzed on Mahathir's statement.

Simple, even a kindergarten kid can answer that. Also recently he had advised the premier not to answer any question in Parliament on 1MDB when the AG's duty is to prosecute criminals and not be the premier's adviser.

Rubystar_4037: Apandi, since taking over the highest office as the attorney-general, this is the best statement you have made.

Just tell Mahathir to get lost. Better still, humiliate him and pull him down from his high horse. Many would love to see Mahathir come down to earth.

Negarawan: "Speaking to Malaysiakini , Apandi said he would act fairly and thoroughly."

If Apandi had really wanted to act fairly, he wouldn't have accepted his position in the first place.

Smer: Was halting the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) case in accordance with the law? The Court of Appeal deemed it necessary to go to trial but you withdrew the case for no good reason.

Grey Matter: Apandi, no one believes you because you refused to prosecute someone for sedition when there is video evidence; it speaks volumes about your integrity.

You are an Umno man and a Najib man. Ask yourself why you were appointed as AG instead of deputy AG?

It stinks to high heaven. The rakyat are not blind and stupid to believe you.

Scandalcountry: Mahathir is right. It will definitely happen – expect the AG to say no further action.

Why would AG be bothered with reverse psychology?
