The DAP may have felt vindicated for its decision to part ways with the Islamic party after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s confirmation that Umno is working with PAS.
But for Gerakan’s Baljit Singh, DAP has only itself to blame for the situation as party leaders have all along promoted PAS as a viable ally, from 2008 up to last year.
It was only in June this year, after PAS cut ties with DAP, that the latter announced that Pakatan Rakyat (Pakatan) is dead, and proceeded to form Pakatan Harapan with PAS splinter group, Parti Amanah Negara.
