Leave Najib alone? Not in a million years

YOURSAY | ‘RM2.6b parked into his personal account. The implication is far reaching.’

Leave Najib alone, Umno Youth leader tells 'past his time' Dr M

Anonymous_1421806811: This goes to show how shallow PM Najib Razak's supporters in Umno are. I am surprised they have such little confidence in themselves.

All these politicians, which seems to me to be without common sense, need to ask is if Najib is innocent, why did he deliberately derail the 1MDB investigations?

Do they really want an alleged liar, coward and a thief to be their leader?

Sali Tambap: No, Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii, you cannot stop anybody from criticising, including former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

In a democratic system of government, none is beyond reproach because they are all elected by the people.

Besides high office, such as the premiership, comes with a price. His performance and behaviour while in office is subject to scrutiny.

Blind loyalty is foolhardy and may result in the country to remain backward because it means we allow wrongdoing and corruption to eat into our governance and administration.

Just Your Normal Rakyat: It is not about Mahathir attacking Najib. It's about asking our prime minister to come clean on the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ and the RM42 billion debt of 1MDB.

Please deal with the issues and not the personalities.

Good Governance: Razlan, you are absolutely right that every leader has his own leadership style. But Mahathir is not harping on leadership style.

He is asking someone, whom the vast majority of Malaysians are convinced of having committed an act of corruption on a grand scale, to resign from his position.

This person has brought shame to the whole country and should vacate his position without further delay.

Anonymous_1430213195: Wow, if someone made a huge mistake and asked to be left alone, then why bother having police.

Better ask the police not to catch crooks. And why the need for Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Immigration and Custom?

RM2.6billion Duit Haram: Times have changed. But the laws of the country remain the same. If Najib has accepted such huge amount of money, anyone, irrespective of age, has the right to question the source and how it was used.

Razlan, gone are the days of your father’s when the PM’s actions, right or wrong, were not questioned.

In fact, Mahathir has moved with times and do what an informed society should do - question the PM on his ‘donation’.

CQ Muar: Razlan quoted his parents asking Mahathir to "let bygones be bygones". For that, Razlan must be thinking his parents are perfect examples to emulate as Umno leaders. But then, to "forgive and forget" what Najib did?

Razlan said, "Everyone has their own style of leadership and weaknesses." You're damn right but not to the extent of plundering billions from the nation, among many other crimes.

Victor Johan: Razlan, you are an Umno youth leader, so please answer the question on what happened to the 'donation money' that Mahathir and we all are shouting about.

Can you? Anything else is irrelevant.

Multi Racial: Malaysia will fail not because of Najib but because of people like Razlan who cannot differentiate between good and evil.

It is true Mahathir did many wrong things during his reign. That was why he had to step down to save Umno from going down with him before 2004 general election.

The calling of Najib to resign has nothing to do with race or religion. What Najib did was wrong and as such Mahathir see it necessary to call for his resignation. But don't interpret that as Malaysians having forgiven Mahathir.

What Mahathir did during his reign cannot be forgiven. He has caused so much damage to the nation. Why Najib cannot be removed was the result of Mahathir doing.

He has created an Umno president and prime minister that is so powerful that he cannot be removed in spite of overwhelming incriminating evidence.

We need young politicians like Razlan to correct that before it is too late.

The Mask: Razlan, by your reasoning, if someone broke into your house and stole your money and hurt one of your loved ones, and when the police caught the culprit, are you going to leave the culprit alone, and say it’s all in the past?

Anonymous_4056: So this is Umno Youth’s recipe for success.

Mahathir, please zipped your lips and close both eyes. Let the Bugis pirate keep plundering and then slap the Chinese. It’s a win-win situation.

James_3392: RM2,600,000,000 parked into his personal account. The implication is far reaching. Leave him alone? Let bygones be bygones?

Slumdog: Indeed, Razlan must have parked his brains somewhere. His sense of reasoning and logic is below that of a village idiot, and to think he is a youth chief.
