YOURSAY | 'Najib will have no guts to attend ‘question time’ because he has everything to hide.'
Bung: PM’s question time will be breeze for Najib
Justine Gow: PM’s question time will be a breeze for the ‘Bugis warrior’, said Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin.
Really? Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's current attendance record at Parliament and his no shows at the Nothing2Hide forum and the recent International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) tell us otherwise.
Indeed, he prefers to hide behind others. If the PM’s question time really gets implemented because of the Kinabatangan MP, he will get a big whacking instead of a bonus from his master.
RCZ: Going by current practice, the PM answers nothing and lets his goons answer some rubbish for him and damage him more, like what Bung is doing now.
He poses questions to questions instead of answering them, and avoids all public forums where he can be questioned by people with brains, just like the recent forum on Nothing2Hide and the conference for corruption busters, where he sent his lackey Minister in Prime Minister's Department Paul low.
So Bung, bung off and let the PM stand up for himself, which he can't possibly do after having been caught with his hand in the billion-dollar cookie jar.
Retired Citizen: Najib will have no guts to attend a PM’s question time in Parliament. That is for sure because he has everything to hide.
His record shows that he will disappear from Parliament the day after presenting the Budget so that he does not have to answer questions from the opposition.
Anonymous_1372741039: Bung is not Najib, and is therefore unqualified to vouch for or comment whether the man is unfazed or rattled with the barrage of questions that would be put forth to him in Parliament.
Malaysians are now all aware of all the undesirable events that have taken place in the country, and Najib not only has to convince the questioners, but Malaysians as well.
Anonymous_1421207179: There is no need to copy so many parliamentary systems, just do a press conference and answer a few basic questions that we have asked a year ago, with still more questions to ask over the last few months.
Eyespye: I don't think so, Bung. You try watching UK Prime Minister David Cameron, or his predecessors Margaret Thatcher or Tony Blair during PM’s question time sessions in Britain.
Our PM would be quaking in his boots. It'll be only a matter of time before he cries out, "How dare you question me?"
Hamzah Paiman: Najib, if you believe you have nothing to hide, why are the government backbenchers so worried? Are they not confident that the PM can handle it well? Are they worried that he might bungle?
That's the problem with BN MPs. They talk big, but they have nothing to show. They're just cowards.
Nasib Rosak: Tourism Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz, if the timing isn't quite right now, when do you think it will ever be "quite right"?
I can foresee that the timing will never be quite right, seeing the number of scandals piling up day by day for this infamously scandalous minority-elected PM of this increasingly blighted nation.
Speaking Sense: If he can't even answer a simple question about the RM2.6 billion, how can he answer anything else?
Question time is only as good as the willingness and the recognition of the necessity to provide truthful answers. Neither can be expected from the current PM, or anyone else in the cabinet, for that matter.
Carlim: Najib knows how to answer questions? Yes, by remaining quiet all the time.
PM's question time in Parliament session needs study
Samuel Lourdes: It looks like Najib's schedule is so tight that he cannot even commit some time to answer questions in Parliament.
Rural and Regional Development Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, I suggest you tell your boss to take a leaf from the British PM who present every Wednesday when Parliament is in session, and appears for the PM’s question time in the British Parliament.
I have seen it carried live on Sky News. Don't give the excuse of being busy. To me, it appears more of cowardice on the part of the PM.
Jinhooi: In the UK, PM’s question time is half an hour on Wednesday noon. This is scheduled months or years ahead. Answering the people/Parliament is far more important than many of PM's lunches.
And it doesn't mean that PM has to be there every session. While PM David Cameron is away (in China, for example), Chancellor George Osborne takes over the "dispatch box" to answer questions in Parliament.
Asitis: If the PM of UK and Australia can find time to do it, what is so special about Najib? And this is not for Najib alone, but for all PMs who will come after him. So you cannot make a decision based on him alone.
The country does not work around his convenience. As a PM, he has an obligation to the country and that include answering questions raised by the people. He has to make time for this.
